Nancy O'Dell's initial job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became a morning reporter and anchor on WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on the situations. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. After her time in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
